January 6, 2021. As a nation we were shaken. As I wrote those words I knew they were not true. Some people were overjoyed, vindicated, further pushed to believing in white supremacy. Hatred, putrid and dangerous, was mistaken for anger. I step back from my own identification, not simply with this nation, but humanity. Who are we?

What are we?

We are aggressive and biased

primates. Analytical, creative and problem solving, yes we are these things too. I realize my assumption that human evolution would mean we became less of the former and more of the latter. But that is an assumption based upon my own bias, bias is part of being human, and so I may be wrong.
